Perfect for Family Getaways
The staff were accommodating when we needed a late check-in, and the kids loved the coloring sheets the waitress brought us at dinner. We had a lovely time learning about the embroideries of the Battle of Bosworth. It felt like we were a part of something bigger, you know?
Sure, it wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was acceptable for what we got.

The highlight of my stay was the fantastic vegan platter prepared by the chef, showcasing creativity with dishes like stuffed eggplant and arancini balls, which truly impressed my party. Coupled with an inviting atmosphere and lovely bar staff, it made for a memorable evening. the menu felt quite standard and lacked vegan options, which should be addressed given the current dietary trends. the hotel could benefit from a menu revamp to reflect the culinary talent in the kitchen.

Great stay at The Red Lion in Atherstone. Found the location perfect for exploring the town. The staff greeted me warmly and made check-in easy. The room was spacious and well-decorated, although a bit dated in places. The bathroom had clean surfaces, but I noticed some cobwebs in the corners. The breakfast was a standout, freshly cooked and generous portions. My only downside was the shower. it struggled with temperature regulation. Sometimes it felt either too hot or too cold, which made for a bit of an uncomfortable experience. I found the car park quite cramped. Parking was tight, but I managed to find a space close to my room. Despite a few hiccups, I enjoyed my time here and would happily return.
